Kumbang Animation This animation focuses on the critical importance of preserving forests and their rich biodiversity, including both flora and fauna. The animation project results from research into Indonesia’s forest issue and problem. Indonesia is home to over 38,000 species and ranks third among the world’s ten tropical countries with the highest rate of primary forest loss, according to Global Forest Watch, 2019.

Created by Zahra and Zahirah when we were just 18 years old during our bachelor studies, the animation won 1st place in Animakini, a prestigious National Animation Competition, and ranked among the top 20 animations at GEMASTIK 13, an annual competition organized by the National Achievement Center and the Ministry of Education and Culture. This animation has an impactful message and contributes to raising awareness about Indonesia's endangered forests and biodiversity.
